If you have narrow shoulders, try to go for a fabric that is more stiff, so it gives some shape to your shoulders, without excessive padding. If you are short, you should try to go with a cut that will lengthen your frame, particularly be aware of where the jacket hits on your body. There are cuts that span from hips, to mid thigh. To Pleat or Not to Pleat Your Pants

pleated-pantsThe view of people in the men’s fashion industry in terms of pants has been consistent for the past few years: flat front pants look better and more sophisticated than pleated pants. This view obviously is brought by the idea that men’s ideal body type is that of a male model: tall, athletic, and have flat to six pack abs. Digressing from the fashion side and onto the general perceptions of people alone, Flat front pants are said to good look on men because it accentuates the bulge underneath, something that is very manly, naughty, and sexy.

The predilection for flat front pants is evidenced by one of the most predominant trends in men’s fashion industry for the past seasons: skinny jeans, and skinny dress pants. Although following this trend is really cool, it should be advised that not all men can wear them, unless one of course does not care how these pants will look like on them.

So if you’re planning to have your customized pants anytime soon, make sure that you know whether you have to ask the tailor to put pleats in them or not. Pleats look good on men whose body type ranges from average to stocky. Since pleats provide an extra layering in the pants, they can surely hide beer bellies; if not make them look smaller than they really are. For people whose body ranges from slim to thin, it is better to stick to flat front pants. Pleats, although then can make you comfortable and move with ease, don’t really look good on slim figures. They make thin men look thinner, and this of course is not flattering.
